Scroppino

Of course this boozy “smoothie” from Italy would contain lemon gelato. If you want to be authentic, use Prosecco, an Italian sparkling wine. The final component is vodka. If you have lemon vodka on hand, use it.

Ingredients

1 pint lemon gelato [or sorbet or ice cream]

1/4 cup Prosecco or sparkling wine

1/4 cup vodka

Method
Pour ingredients into a blender, clamp on the lid and buzz until the ingredients are fully incorporated and frothy, 30 to 40 seconds.

Hey, I never think about making anything with alcohol in it (because other than a fine beer, I don't drink).  That said, this totally looks like a great idea for a hot summer day or night.  I have Prosecco in the fridge now and we have a great little gelato place in town.

Holy cow, I just bought lemon gelato and Prosecco at Whole Foods.  (Must have been in an Italian celebration sort of mood...)  How wonderful, a Prosecco float!

You know, being in Wyoming, I think the only thing on the list I can buy here is the vodka, and the lemon vodka would be pushing it. I need to move.

Howdy I've been absent for awhile but back again :) Love your banner very classy!!! Is that what you meant, silvery white icons? I'm having a hard time finding ones like the lolly and icecream cones :S Well let me know and keep up the fantabulous work !!!!!

@moonmagix - Hi! Yes, I noticed You might have noticed me lurking around and stopping by daily. Glad to see you back. Yes! The current banner is very much what I was thinking, white/silver "classy"/modern. The oregano looks a bit out of place to me. Maybe if I can find a paler-green herb. The Champagne and flashing bulb might have to go too since they are pretty dark. Please don't kill yourself looking for that VERY specific request. If we can move off of that and focus on the silver/white but still food/drink/meal related, that would be more than perfect.

I'll make this right now. I'll have to substitute a few ingredients because I don't have any gelato or Prosecco on hand.. But I do have 2 big bottles of vodka. Yes. That'll do nicely.

I'd leave out the vodka cos I don't like the taste of alcohol but I do fancy this a lot.
